4th Point of interest: ANCIENT WALL

We can see here remains of the ancient wall of the 4th century. The wall started from the castle and reached Agios Loukas. A few meters below, between Ypsilanti & Karaiskaki streets, there used to be a stone bridge and a stream.

The area that stretched in the North, from this point to the Municipal Stadium and the Town Hall, was called ​​Pigadoulia and was one of the most beautiful countryside areas of the city. Ancient remains have been found in many other places in Lamia. Some of them are kept visible and can be visited.
